A preferred theme park has been labelled “sexist” after banning girls from sporting skimpy swimwear at its household pleasant park this summer time.

A Perth water park has taken a stand against skimpy swimwear, asking patrons to not be “too cheeky” when visiting this summer time.

The new gown code at Adventure World, a preferred theme park about 9 kilometres east of Fremantle, was posted on Facebook on Thursday night time and instantly sparked fierce debate amongst followers.

“Adventure World is a family friendly park, please choose appropriate swimwear when visiting,” the park wrote, alongside an infographic exhibiting thong and string bikini bottoms have been now prohibited.

Some welcomed the principles, saying it was inappropriate for youngsters to be lining up for rides behind individuals with virtually-naked bottoms.

“I’m all for showing off a great body! But I was rather put off taking my children back when there were female butts everywhere!” one mom, Pauline Arnold, wrote.

“Couldn’t be more proud of a company for taking such a stand. During a visit to the park recently, with three young teens, I couldn’t believe the amount of ‘cheek’ I had to unwillingly view! Didn’t know where to look most of the time! It was disgusting,” Sharon Zuidema added.

But others referred to as the gown code ridiculous, labelling it “sexist” and a type of “body-shaming”.

“This is so disgraceful! The first bikini in the diagram is the standard cut,” Laura Powers wrote.

“This goes for men’s Speedo’s as well right? Cos don’t wanna see that,” Melissa-Rose Blake stated.

Adventure World stated in an announcement that its gown requirements have been in keeping with different water parks round Australia, and as a household-pleasant venue, it felt the principles have been applicable.

“Let’s not confuse the issue. This update is about dress standards and dress standards only. It is not gender specific,” it stated.

“Adventure World is a household pleasant theme park. We maintain knowledgeable of business tendencies and while this was not a choice taken calmly, it’s in keeping with different parks nationwide.

“We should not the primary park in Australia to replace their gown requirements on this topic, nor are we the one venue in WA that has addressed the matter with the same coverage.”

The park’s official circumstances of entry state that guests are welcome to put on no matter swimwear they really feel snug in, “offering it’s appropriate for a household surroundings”.

Wet’n’Wild and Dreamworld, two different water parks on the Gold Coast in Queensland, additionally prohibit provocative bathers.
