Famed British style, inside and way of life designer Matthew Williamson has joined fingers with luxurious tea makers Newby Teas to create a restricted version assortment of three unfastened-leaf tea blends in superbly designed tea caddies. Inspired by the Rajasthan area in India, the daring designs are primarily based on genuine water colors with every one evoking heritage of the chosen tea.

The designer has visited India numerous instances and he fell in love with the nation – the colors, the craftsmanship and variety – when he first visited on the age of 18. The collaboration with Newby Teas pays homage to the area, which the designer calls his “forever home-from-home”.

So what sparked Willamson’s need to work with Newby London?  “It’s such a wonderful heritage brand,” he tells BAZAAR. “They epitomise luxury in every sense of the word and do things with passion and flair. Like most Brits, I’ve always loved a good cup of tea.”

The restricted assortment contains Maharaja’s Breakfast, a scrumptious mix of Assam black tea; Exotic Earl Grey, that includes hints of spicy safflower and Jasmine Rose Garden, a inexperienced tea with a honeyed aroma and notes of jasmine and rose. The latter is the designer’s private favorite and he describes it as “light and delicately fragranced.”

Another inspiration for the gathering was Newby Teas’ Chitra Collection, the world’s largest privately-owned assortment of historic teawares.  “It is awe-inspiring; a magical feast for the eyes,” says Williamson, of the gathering. “I could have spent hours in there, not only for this project, but just generally, to be in this incredible collection that has been curated over the years.”
