Republic Film Distribution has acquired UK-Ireland rights to Sam Hobkinson’s Sundance 2021 documentary Misha And The Wolves.

The distributor has set an unique theatrical release for September three throughout the territory; the movie will then be broadcast by BBC Storyville later within the 12 months. Netflix beforehand acquired US rights on the movie.

Misha And The Wolves follows a lady whose Holocaust memoir took the world by storm, earlier than a fallout along with her writer – who turned detective – revealed a deception created to cover a darker fact.

The movie is produced by Arts Alliance and MetFilm from the UK, with Belgium’s Bright Yellow Films. Producers are Poppy Dixon, Al Morrow, Matt Wells, Jurgen Buedts and Gregory Zalcman, with govt producers Stewart le Maréchal, Thomas Hoegh, Vesna Cuic, Jonny Persey, Adrian Sibley, Mandy Chang, Hayley Reynolds, Martin Pieper and Barbara Truyen.

It debuted within the World Cinema Documentary Competition at Sundance in January, happening to play Denmark’s CPH:DOX and Hot Docs in Canada.
