Three Arkansas regulation enforcement officers have been suspended as Arkansas State Police examine a video posted to social media that allegedly reveals them punching and kicking a suspect that was below arrest. 

The graphic video reveals one officer punching the person within the head and slamming his head in opposition to cement, whereas one other officer seems to kick him within the decrease physique. A 3rd officer is seen restraining the suspect.

Two of the officers are deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, and a 3rd officer is affiliated with the Mulberry Police Department.

Arkansas State Police recognized the suspect as Randall Worcester, 27, of Goose Creek, South Carolina. He was taken to an space hospital for examination and remedy, then later launched and jailed, in line with police.

Worcester was charged with second-diploma battery, resisting arrest, refusal to submit and possessing an instrument of crime, prison trespass, prison mischief, terroristic threatening and second-diploma assault. 

A video posted by Fox 16’s Mitchell McCoy reveals the graphic arrest. The video was apparently first uploaded to TikTok. It has since been faraway from the platform.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office stated a retailer clerk known as police after Worcester allegedly spat of their face and made threats, McCoy reported. Police stated when the officers confronted Worcester, he pushed a deputy to the bottom and punched the again of his head, sparking the arrest seen within the video.

Arkansas authorities affirmed their dedication to analyze the matter Sunday night.

“The state police investigation will be limited to the use of physical force by the deputies and police officer,” Arkansas State Police stated in a press release. “Upon completion of the investigation, the case file will be submitted to the Crawford County prosecuting attorney who will determine whether the use of force by the law enforcement officers was consistent with Arkansas laws.”

“I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter,” the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook publish.

Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante additionally confirmed that the 2 deputies can be suspended as Arkansas State Police examine.

The Mulberry police officer was additionally suspended.

“The City of Mulberry Police Department is aware of the video circulating on social media involving one of our officers,” Mulberry Police Chief Shannon Gregory stated in a press release. “The City of Mulberry and the Mulberry Police Department takes these investigations very seriously and holds all their officers accountable for their actions. We will take the appropriate actions at the conclusion of the investigation.”

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson posted concerning the arrest on Twitter. 

“I have spoken with Col. Bill Bryant of the Arkansas State Police and the local arrest incident in Crawford County will be investigated pursuant to the video evidence and the request of the prosecuting attorney,” Hutchinson wrote.
