The Federal Aviation Administration was investigating after two planes clipped wings at the Hollywood Burbank Airport Friday morning. Travelers flying into and out of the airport had been informed to count on delays.

Travelers flying out of Hollywood Burbank Airport had been informed to count on delays on the morning of Aug. 20 after two planes clipped wings.

Shortly after 6 a.m., an American Airlines airplane was being towed for departure and one in all its wings touched the wing of an Alaska Airlines airplane, in line with Burbank airport officers.

No passengers had been aboard at the time of the collision and no accidents had been reported.  

The airport was quickly closed after the collision. The airport has since reopened, nonetheless, Runway 15 stays closed through the federal investigation. 

No additional info was instantly launched.
